বইপাড়া অনলাইন্-এ আপনাকে পেয়ে আমরা আপ্লুত!
আমরা একদল শহুরে বাউল। বই আমাদের প্রাণ।বই নিয়ে আড্ডা, তর্ক, আলোচনা আমাদের অক্সিজেন।যখন তখন এই বইপাগলামি আমাদের চেপে ধরে। আরও পড়তে এগিয়ে নিয়ে চলে।
তবে, এই বইপ্রেম আমাদের মজ্জাগত, তার কারণ আমদের জন্ম এই বাংলায়। বাঙালী সভ্যতায়।
মাছ, ভাত, ভাতঘুম, নইরাজ্য, মিস্টি দিয়ে বাংলার হাস্যকর পরিভাষা সকলের-ই জানা। তবে হয়ত আনেকেই ভুলে গেছেন যে পৃথিবী-র সাড়ে পঁচিশ কোটি মানুষের মুখের ভাষা- বাংলা। বিশ্বের দরবারে যা আজ বহু কারণে সমাদ্রিত।
বাংলা একটি নয়, দুটি দেশ কে উপহার দিয়েছে জাতীয় সঙ্গীত। বাংলা শুধু ভারতকে নয়, - সমগ্র এশিয়া কে এনে দিয়েছে প্রথম নোবেল পুরস্কার-বিশ্ব সাহিত্যের দরবার থেকে।বাংলা ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশ কে এনে দিয়েছে নোবেল পুরস্কার- বিভিন্ন কারণে।বাংলা দিয়েছে অগনিত কথাকার,যাদের গল্পে, প্রাণ পেয়েছে আমাদের সংস্কৃতির ছবি। এহেন বাঙালি কে অন্য সবার থেকে আলাদা করে তার ভাবনা আর তার শিকড়ের কাছাকাছি থাকার চেষ্টা - মূলত যেটা গড়ে ওঠে তার পড়াশোনা দিয়ে।
বিশ্ব নাগরিক হয়ে আমরা নিজের করেছি দেশ বিদেশের অনেক কিছু, তবু কখনো-কখনো ঘরের থেকে পাঁচ'শ মাইল দূরে বসে একরাশ মনকেমন সঙ্গী হয়েছে আমাদের। প্রানপনে চেয়েছি বাংলা বই, আর প্রিয় বইপাড়ার ওম,স্বাদ,গন্ধ।
সেই অনুভুতি থেকেই বইপাড়া অনলাইন এর যাত্রা শুরু।লক্ষ্য ছিল, পৌঁছে দেব পুরো বইপাড়া কে আমাদের মতই দেশ, বিদেশের লক্ষ্য লক্ষ্য বইপাগলের আঙ্গুলের ডগায়।
চলতে চলতে, নতুন পুরনো মিলিয়ে আমাদের বইয়ের তাকে এখন ২০০০০ বই।আছে কিছু দুস্প্রাপ্য বই এর খোঁজ।
প্রথিতযশা ও নব্য প্রকাশকের ভাণ্ডার আর আগ্রহী বইপ্রেমির মধ্যে মেলবন্ধন ঘটিয়ে চলেছি আমরা। প্রতিদিন যুক্ত করছি মানুষকে তাদের চিরচেনা নস্তালজিয়া -বইপাড়ার সাথে।
সেই সুত্রেই আপনাকেও সঙ্গে পেলাম।
যেখানেই বাঙালি থাক, সঙ্গে থাকবে তার ভাবনা, তার বইপড়া আর থাকবে বইপাড়ার ওম স্বাদ গন্ধ- আঙুলের ডগাতেই।

• a major number of stories to have been made and remade into Hindi films
• World renowned story tellers in celluloid- ranging from Ray to Rituparno Ghosh, who have brought to life- our everyday tales.
More than Macch, Mishti or the Howrah Bridge, what makes Bengalis stand out in a crowd is our intellect- which we largely owe to our voracious reading- and our roots.
As global citizens- we have lived, loved and imbibed the goodness from the world cultures, made a lot of their traditions our own, but the tradition of reading still rules and so does the nostalgia of Boipara- our favourite Book Street. We have often sorely missed our Bengali Books and the Boipara-sitting some five hundred miles away from home.
It was with this very idea, that we have started Boiparaonline- to get the flavours of our very own beloved Boipara- anytime- anywhere. Having started the journey in ___, we currently have a little over 20000 books in our basket, which includes some very rare, documents- currently out of print- along with the potpourri of new as well as well treasured old books.
We aim at being the platform to reach out- from the eminent as well as promising publishers to the hands of eager readers- from all over the country and even out of it. We are blessed to have had a very promising response in this regard.
We look forward to cherish this relationship with you.
After all, it is your interest in reading and reading in Bengali, that inspires us to strive ahead.
